Canada’s Liberals Are Eight Points Ahead
The governing Liberal party remains the most popular federal political organization in Canada, according to a poll by The Strategic Counsel released by CTV and the Globe and Mail.
I don't think Canadian conservatives are as bad as U.S. Republicans, but this is still good news.

So the Liberal party in Canada is actually "liberal" e.g. more similar to US Democrats than Republicans? As stupid a question as that may sound, Australia's Liberal party - which is the party Prime Minister Howard belongs to - is anything but liberal. Howard is the guy Bush called a "Man of Steel," who shares the same vision of freedom that he does. (What a depressing comment that was to hear!)
Our Liberals are responsible for immigration policies that violate federal law, detention centres filled with children, commitment to a war without parliamentary approval, as well as a whole slew of other things. It's false advertising as well as confusing really.
I am not sure how similiar our parties are too canada in ragards to "democrats and repubs" but I think my country can learn a few things from our brother up north :)
